Skydd, Nigeria’s first insure-fintech (protection-tech) company, has unveiled its executive leadership team as it accelerates plans to integrate insurance protection into everyday financial services across the country.
The company said the move marks a new phase in its growth strategy as it seeks to make protection an integral part of consumers’ financial lives rather than a standalone insurance product purchased only when required.
Unlike the traditional insurance model, Skydd is building a platform that embeds protection alongside savings, payments, digital wallets and other financial services, enabling individuals and businesses to access insurance seamlessly through everyday financial transactions.
Leading the company’s next phase are Chituru Nsirim, Founding Executive for Business Development and Operations, and Anu Oyeleye, who oversees Product and Marketing.

Nsirim brings more than a decade of experience across the banking and insurance sectors and has played a central role in developing the company’s commercial strategy, strategic partnerships and operational framework since its inception.
Oyeleye also has over 10 years of experience in fintech, having founded a technology company and led product teams at some of Nigeria’s fast-growing digital firms. She now leads Skydd’s product development and market expansion strategy.
According to the company, the leadership team combines expertise in banking, insurance, fintech, product development and technology to reshape how Nigerians access financial protection.
Skydd describes itself as Nigeria’s first insure-fintech company, providing the infrastructure that enables businesses and individuals to embed protection into everyday financial experiences through a single digital ecosystem.
The company currently serves more than 20,000 active customers and says it operates with positive EBITDA and positive cash flow, positioning it for its next stage of expansion.
As part of its growth strategy, Skydd plans to make its protection infrastructure available to banks, fintechs, merchants, employers and software developers, enabling them to integrate insurance products directly into their digital platforms.
The company said its ecosystem will combine protection, savings, digital wallets and payment cards within a unified platform, allowing partners to offer insurance services as seamlessly as payments or savings products.
While the business is currently focused on Nigeria, Skydd said its long-term ambition is to build the technology infrastructure that powers embedded protection across Africa.
