Oborevwori Salutes Orodje Of Okpe On Birth Anniversary

Delta State Governor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori has extended warm felicitations to the Chairman of the Delta State Council of Traditional Rulers and Orodje of Okpe Kingdom, HRM Maj.-Gen. Felix Mujakperuo (rtd), Orhue I, on the occasion of his birth anniversary.

Governor Oborevwori, in a statement issued in Asaba by his Chief Press Secretary, Sir Festus Ahon, praised the revered monarch for his outstanding contributions to peace, development, and nation-building.

He described the Orodje as a bridge-builder of unwavering integrity whose influence continues to resonate across Delta State and Nigeria.

Oborevwori noted that a deep commitment to harmony, progress, and the preservation of cultural heritage has marked the Monarch’s decades of service.

He lauded the monarch as a respected royal father, a custodian of Okpe tradition, and an exemplary leader whose guidance has been invaluable to his people.

“Over the years, Orhue I has made remarkable contributions to the growth and advancement of Okpe Kingdom, Delta State, and the nation at large,” the Governor said.

He commended the monarch’s steadfast support for his administration and his efforts to unite his subjects and strengthen the traditional institution in alignment with the state’s development objectives.

Oborevwori said: “On behalf of the Government and people of Delta State, I warmly congratulate His Royal Majesty, Maj.-Gen. Felix Mujakperuo (rtd), CFR, the Orodje of Okpe Kingdom, Orhue I, on his birth anniversary.

“As a government, we deeply appreciate your exceptional support in various areas and trust that you will continue to uphold your domain as a symbol of peace and unity. As Chairman of the Delta State Council of Traditional Rulers, you have consistently demonstrated humility, impeccable leadership, and an unwavering commitment to peace advocacy.”

The Governor joined the people of Okpe Kingdom in celebrating “an extraordinary monarch,” praying for continued good health, wisdom, and strength for the Orodje as he continues to lead the traditional institution across the state.

“I applaud His Majesty for his unwavering commitment to preserving Okpe culture, fostering harmony, promoting socio-cultural cooperation, encouraging communal living, and strengthening peaceful coexistence among the diverse ethnic groups in the state,” he added.

Oborevwori further described the monarch as an inspiration, a mentor, and a role model to both peers and younger leaders, praying that God grants him many more years of impactful service in good health and divine wisdom.

NCDMB sets national benchmark, clinches ease-of-doing-business best agency for 4th consecutive year

The Nigerian Content Development and Monitoring Board (NCDMB) has once again solidified its position as Nigeria’s most business-friendly regulatory institution, winning the Presidential Enabling Business Environment Council (PEBEC) Transparency and Efficiency Champion Award for the fourth consecutive year.

The Board dominated the Ease of Doing Business performance rankings in 2022, 2023, 2024, and 2025—an unprecedented streak that industry observers say reflects its deep operational reform and process automation. The 2025 award was presented on December 2 at the State House, Abuja.

Receiving the award on behalf of the Executive Secretary, Engr. Felix Omatsola Ogbe, the Acting Director of Monitoring and Evaluation, Mr. Omomehin Ajimijaye, reaffirmed NCDMB’s commitment to policy alignment, institutional efficiency, and measurable management targets.

The recognition highlights the Board’s emphasis on transparency, service quality, and continuous collaboration with industry stakeholders.

Vice President Kashim Shettima chaired the PEBEC Awards and Gala Night, while the Director-General of PEBEC, Princess Zarah Audu, applauded NCDMB’s success in automating procedures to reduce human interference—urging other agencies to emulate such modernised processes.

The Board also received the Reform Champion Award, presented to Engr. Cityfaith Baribor Zorasi in recognition of his outstanding contribution as NCDMB’s liaison to PEBEC.

NCDMB reaffirmed its dedication to strengthening business systems, driving local capacity growth under the NOGICD Act of 2010, and sustaining high-performance regulatory practices in the years ahead.

The Board also expressed gratitude to PEBEC for the recognition and to its staff for their exceptional contributions and professionalism
